Bill Laird has been the professional at Sandiway Golf Club since 1990.  Prior to Sandiway he was professional, for 10 years, at Bishop Auckland Golf Club following, also as professional, 10 years at Brampton Golf Club. His career started as an assistant to John Panton at Glenverbie Golf Club and he has been a member of the Professional Golfers Association for over 30 years.  Bill is a former Captain of both the North East and North West PGA. Bill has professional assistants Adam Powell and Gareth Jones.

Bill's shop is well stocked with golf clubs and all the necessities of a successful and enjoyable participation in the game of golf.  An extensive range of accessories and clothing is also available.  The shop is open seven days a week, summer and winter from 8:30 am until dusk.

Tuition for all golfing abilities is a specialty and group tuition for juniors takes place at weekends.  Pre-booking is advisable and appointments can be arranged using the contact details on Bill's tuition page.
