Senior Men's Open (2026) Rules

1. All competitors must be male playing members of a recognised golf club with an active handicap and be 55 years or over on 1st May 2026.

2. The Competition will be 18 holes Four Ball Better Ball Stableford, with a handicap allowance of 85%. The maximum playing handicap allowed is 36. Entry from higher handicaps will be accepted, but they must play off the maximum playing handicap of 36.

3. The Club reserves the right to refuse any entry without assigning a reason and entry fees will not be refunded on any entry cancelled after 1st April 2026. 4. All disputes will be referred to the Competition Committee for its decision, which will be final in all instances. In the event of a tie or ties, the Rules of Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs will apply. 5. Competitors will be made temporary members of Sandiway Golf Club for the day. Smart casual dress is allowed in the lounge of the Clubhouse.

6. Prize winners will be notified and vouchers provided for use in the Club Professional's shop.

7. Catering will be available throughout the day.

8. Players are requested to report to the starter on the 1st tee 10 minutes before their allotted tee time.

9. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis and starting times will be allocated as soon as entries are received.

10. Private buggies will be permitted as long as proof of insurance and appropriate has been sent to the Club Administrator on admin@sandiwaygolf.co.uk prior to play.

Club buggies are available for hire, by booking in advance subject to medical accreditation. Please contact the Professional Shop on 01606 880813 to obtain full details of Sandiway Golf Club's Buggy Policy, and to make any bookings.

11. The start sheet showing entries received will be posted on Sandiway Golf Club's website.
