At Sandiway we enthusiastically welcome visitors to play our wonderful course which opened in 1920. Sandiway is a former Open Qualifying venue, originally laid out by the first UK & Ireland Ryder Cup Captain, Ted Ray. We hope you will enjoy the layout, the condition and your time as our guest.
We have morning and afternoon tee slots available for visitors on most days of the week so to organise your reservation please call our Professionals on 01606 880813 and they will arrange a tee time that meets your requirements.
We can accommodate groups requiring two or more tee times. In the mornings when most Member play occurs, we will probably send you out a few tee times apart. If you do require consecutive tee times this will be anytime on a Tuesday or any available afternoon. Our Professional will be able to help you work out the best booking slot for your group.
Like many Clubs, we introduce measures to protect the course in winter months and we adjust our Green Fee accordingly. From 1st November to 31st March, there are compulsory mat zones on the most heavily played sections of our fairways. You can either bring your own mat or rent one from the Proshop at a cost of £5. We have a winter course development programme and before booking our Professionals will explain what impact, if any, this has on the course set up and fee for your visit.
Below you will find links to important information to make your visit go smoothly and you can reserve your catering requirements in advance.
While not especially long, Sandiway is a tight, challenging course with generally small, well defended greens. We suggest that visitors have maximum Handicap Index of 20 for men and 30 for women.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sandiway soon.
